Humanitarian Needs

Humanitarian organizations and programs seek to address the most basic of human needs such as food, clothing, shelter and medical care. Ever mindful of our divine calling to serve the least among us, the Catholic Foundation established a broad based humanitarian fund after receiving a most generous bequest from the late Msgr. Howard Delaney. The Catholic Foundation proudly administers this fund in honor of Msgr. Delaney’s life-long ministry to the poor and needy.

The Catholic Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received a substantial bequest from the late Msgr. Howard Delaney (1911-2014). Under the terms of the bequest, the funds are to be used for humanitarian purposes over a period of 20 years or so. This enduring gift will allow the Catholic Foundation to help those most in need. As expressed by one of Msgr. Delaney’s close personal representatives, it was always his hope that the funds would be used to help the poor and marginalized.

The Catholic Foundation gratefully accepts this wonderful gift, and will endeavor to honor Msgr. Delaney’s wishes in the years to come. By his life of faith, work and great love, Msgr. Delaney has truly created a Catholic legacy. His faithful stewardship of all his earthly goods is certainly an inspiration for all. If you would like to make a donation in honor of Msgr. Delaney, please send your gift to the Catholic Foundation office at 101 N. Greenwood St., Pueblo CO 81003.
