The Hidden Treasure of the Diocese—
the Franciscan Capuchin Poor Clare sisters
Few know that in our midst is a group of religious sisters who have dedicated their lives to cloistered prayer. The Poor Clare sisters have lived in and served our diocese for over 21 years, living in “temporary housing” in the historic Grove section of Pueblo.
Recently the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo has been blessed with the opportunity to help provide a more appropriate facility for these around-the-clock prayer warriors who have been living in an outdated building for years without complaint. These women have dedicated their lives to prayer on behalf of our diocese and now the time has come to offer them a sacred space worthy of their charism.
Please help construct a new home for the Poor Clares by contributing to the Poor Clare Monastery Building fund and help the sisters realize this worthwhile endeavor. To donate, scroll down and select “Poor Clare Monastery Fund” in the “Use my donation to support” drop down bar.
*All donations are being held by the Catholic Foundation in a restricted account to be released upon construction.
